Keep things simple with our plain scone mix, go savoury with herby cheese ones or try something completely different with our zingy lime and ginger scones.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whichever you choose, you can enjoy these tasty Slimming World treats and still get a great result on the scales&#8230;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.slimmingworld.co.uk\/\">Find out more about the Slimming World plan here<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/players.brightcove.net\/5245389806001\/default_default\/index.html?videoId=6300982491001\" allowfullscreen=\"\" allow=\"encrypted-media\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Slimming World scones recipe<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>makes 8\u00a0<br>5\u00bd Swips each\u00a0<br>ready in 25 minutes\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What you need:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>125g self-raising wholemeal flour&nbsp;<br>100g extra-fine self-raising sponge flour&nbsp;<br>1 level tsp baking powder&nbsp;<br>30g low-fat spread&nbsp;<br>1 large egg&nbsp;<br>130ml fat-free natural yogurt&nbsp;<br>low-calorie cooking spray&nbsp;<br>2 level tsp skimmed milk, for brushing&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Herby cheese (6 Swips per scone):<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>30g Parmesan, grated&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>1 tsp paprika&nbsp;<br>2 tsp dried mixed herbs&nbsp;<br>\u00bd tsp smoked garlic granules or onion powder&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lime and ginger:&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>grated zest of 1 lime&nbsp;<br>2 tsp ground ginger&nbsp;<br>1 tbsp freshly grated root ginger&nbsp;<br>2 level tbsp sweetener granules (optional)&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What you do:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Preheat your oven to 190\u00b0C\/fan 170\u00b0C\/gas 5.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Put all of the flour, the baking powder and a pinch of salt in a bowl and mix together. Then, using your fingertips, rub the spread into the flour. If you\u2019re making herby cheese or lime and ginger scones, mix in the extra ingredients now.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Whisk together the egg and yogurt, then stir it into the flour mixture with a knife, until it all comes together in a ball. Add a little water if necessary.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Turn the mixture out onto a floured surface and gently roll it out. Try to handle it as little as possible to keep the texture of the scones light and fluffy.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Press out 8 scones using a 6cm cookie cutter, then leave to rest for 5 minutes (this will help them to rise).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6. Put the scones on a non-stick baking sheet sprayed with low-calorie cooking spray and brush with the skimmed milk. Bake the scones for 12 minutes or until golden and firm, then leave to cool.
