Serve up your scones for lunch (lovely with soup), as part of a savoury afternoon tea or pack them for a picnic.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.slimmingworld.co.uk\/nearest-group-search\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"115\" src=\"https:\/\/www.slimmingworld.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Group-Feel-Real-Good-Food-Small-CTA.jpg\" alt=\"Feel Real Good - Group small CTA\" class=\"wp-image-11365\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Slimming World cheese scones recipe<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>makes 8\u00a0<br>6 Swips each\u00a0<br>ready in 25 minutes\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What you need:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>125g self-raising wholemeal flour&nbsp;<br>100g extra-fine self-raising sponge flour&nbsp;<br>1 level tsp baking powder&nbsp;<br>30g low-fat spread&nbsp;<br>1 large egg&nbsp;<br>130ml fat-free natural yogurt&nbsp;<br>low-calorie cooking spray&nbsp;<br>2 level tsp skimmed milk, for brushing&nbsp;<br>30g Parmesan, grated&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>1 tsp paprika&nbsp;<br>2 tsp dried mixed herbs&nbsp;<br>\u00bd tsp smoked garlic granules or onion powder&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What you do:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Preheat your oven to 190\u00b0C\/fan 170\u00b0C\/gas 5.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Put all of the flour, the baking powder and a pinch of salt in a bowl and mix together. Then, using your fingertips, rub the spread into the flour. Mix in the Parmesan, paprika, mixed herbs and smoked garlic granules or onion powder.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Whisk together the egg and yogurt, then stir it into the flour mixture with a knife, until it all comes together in a ball. Add a little water if necessary.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Turn the mixture out onto a floured surface and gently roll it out. Try to handle it as little as possible to keep the texture of the scones light and fluffy.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Press out 8 scones using a 6cm cookie cutter, then leave to rest for 5 minutes (this will help them to rise).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6. Put the scones on a non-stick baking sheet sprayed with low-calorie cooking spray and brush with the skimmed milk.
