Enjoy it as the centrepiece to your meal or as a show-stopping side dish \u2013 either way the results will be totally delicious\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.slimmingworld.co.uk\/what-happens-online\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"145\" src=\"https:\/\/www.slimmingworld.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Online-Feel-Real-Good-Campaign-Food-Small-CTA.jpg\" alt=\"Feel Real Good - Online small CTA\" class=\"wp-image-11364\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Salt and pepper tofu recipe<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>serves 2<br>1.5 Syn per serving<br>vegan, vegetarian<br>ready in 25 minutes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What you need:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 level tbsp cornflour<br>1 tsp freshly ground Sichuan peppercorns (or black peppercorns)<br>400g plain firm tofu<br>low-calorie cooking spray<br>400g mixed stir-fry vegetables<br>4 spring onions, thinly sliced on the diagonal, to serve<br>sliced red chilli, fresh coriander sprigs, soy sauce (or tamari) and plain boiled rice, to serve<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What you do:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Mix the cornflour, ground Sichuan pepper and \u00bd tsp salt in a shallow bowl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Pat the tofu dry with kitchen paper, then cut the block into 18 triangles. Add them to the Sichuan pepper mix and toss to coat well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Spray a large non-stick frying pan or wok with low-calorie cooking spray and put it over a high heat. Add the mixed veg and stir-fry for 3 minutes. Transfer to a bowl and cover to keep warm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Spray the pan again, add the tofu and fry for about 6 minutes on each side, or until crisp and golden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5.
