My weight loss journey started many years ago. Every diet I tried was soon followed by a larger gain. I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic, had high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Then my daughter invited me to go to Slimming World with her, and as the Consultant explained about Food Optimising, I was very sceptical. But I took the books home, pored over them and planned my meals. In my first week, I lost 8lbs – and I was hooked! Losing weight the healthy way has been an incredible journey and Iʼve dropped from a size 32 to a 12! I was so convinced by how amazing Slimming World is, I decided to become a Consultant, and my group will be running from the Southwood Community Centre on Wednesday evenings. I canʼt wait to meet you!
Slimming World groups update
As guidance eases, many Consultants have reopened their community groups, running smaller, shorter, Covid-safe sessions. For now, some Consultants are still running 'Virtual groups' or our temporary 'Venue + Virtual' service (where you get weighed at the venue, and then take part in an online support group).
Once you've found your local group, please contact the Consultant to find out more and to book your place. However your group’s running, you’ll discover tons of support to help you achieve the weight loss you’d love.
