Baked cod steaks with lime

Packed full of flavour, this delicious cod dish is guaranteed to be a firm family favourite. Serve with lots of veggies

Fill at least a third of your plate with tasty vegetables.


  • 4 x 150g cod steaks
  • 6 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 level tbsp chopped parsley
  • 4 heaped tbsp chopped onion
  • ¼ level tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ level tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt
  • Lime slices, to serve


  1. Place the cod steaks in a shallow baking dish.
  2. Mix together all the other ingredients, pour over the fish and leave to marinade for at least 2 hours.
  3. Preheat your oven to 180°C/160°C fan/gas 4. Bake the fish for 20-25 minutes.
  4. Serve with the juices poured over, accompanied by a selection of free vegetables and the lime slices for squeezing over the fish.
