Pass the pasta please!
A study published last week revealed what we've been aware of for some time now… pasta can help you lose weight!
The study of 2,488 people found that those who had regularly eaten pasta as part of a healthy diet actually ended up losing weight. 'Pasta didn’t contribute to weight gain or increase in body fat,' said Dr John Sievenpiper, consultant physician at St Michael’s Hospital and lead author of the study. 'In fact, analysis showed a small weight loss. In weighing the evidence, we can now say with some confidence that pasta does not have an adverse effect on body weight when it's consumed as part of a healthy dietary pattern.'
