Maintaining a weight loss is one of the most under-recognised achievements in weight management – but not at Slimming World.
Our target members are living proof that Slimming World works – and that it works long-term! We celebrate that with free membership – so our target members can come along as often as they like for free (hopefully every week) and share their success and tried and tested tips.
Getting to target isn’t the end of a weight loss journey. In many ways it’s a new beginning, with the fresh and exciting challenge of holding on to that new weight. In true Slimming World style, we support members every step of the way on this new adventure.
While they remain within 3lbs of their target weight target members become lifetime group members and we love them to keep coming to group – absolutely free of charge – each week to inspire others and keep their motivation high to stay at their target weight.
Target members also receive a Love the New You booklet book to help guide them in making the adjustments necessary to maintain their new weight. The booklet, alongside the guidance from Consultants helps members to:
- Keep using those healthy habits they’ve adopted
- Adapt the eating plan to their new target weight
- Embrace activity to help maintain their weight
- Mentally adjust to their new size
- Become a mentor to other members
