The missing link between alcohol and weight
In April 2014 Slimming World published a report urging public health officials to do more to raise awareness of the link between alcohol and weight.
Read the full report here
We have also created a short interactive quiz to help people find their own personal tipping point and find out how their drinking habits could be affecting their weight. If you would like to share the quiz with your patients or take it yourself please Visit our special alcohol page..
A leaflet has been developed which communicates information about the tipping point and provides some useful strategies to help people reduce the impact alcohol has on weight. For health professionals wishing to distribute the leaflet to their patients free copies can be ordered by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org

Healthy lifestyle website for women before, during and after pregnancy
http://www.slimmingworld.co.uk/mums was developed following recognition that there are many confusing and conflicting messages about how women should manage their weight before, during and after pregnancy.
This website, created in partnership between Slimming World and The Royal College of Midwives provides clear information to improve the health of women and to help them pass on healthy habits and lifestyles to their families.
Information cards are available with a link to the website, which can be given to women in your care.
You can order free copies of the card here.

The leaflet is also downloadable from the British Nutrition Foundation website at www.nutrition.org.uk/.
