Are you getting ready for a return to the school run? With lots of children heading back this week and next (and many already in school), now’s a great time to rethink your routines and refocus on your weight loss.

Whether you want to go back to basics or you just need an extra boost to get the results that you want on the scales – we’re here to help with our simple strategies…

📚‘Back to school’ slimming tips 📚

If your cupboards have been packed with snacks to keep the kids going, it’s no surprise that your slimming may have been impacted. Now’s a great time to wipe the slate clean! Your local Slimming World group will have the practical advice and support you need to start afresh with Food Optimising, while our unique Motivational Toolkit can help you overcome any obstacles. The SAS log is a fantastic tool for identifying anything that could be stopping you from getting the weight loss that you’d love (your Consultant can tell you more).

📝 Make a plan

When the kids are at home, it can feel like we have less time for planning meals in advance. Make the most of a quieter house and set yourself up for a great week by taking half an hour to think about what you’d like to eat, then make a shopping list to help you stay on track at the supermarket. The great news is that nothing is banned at Slimming World – you can follow our flexible Food Optimising plan and still lose weight.

MORE FOR MEMBERS: Every new Slimming World member gets a six-week menu planner in their new member pack – and lots of tips in group on how to fill it to get their weight loss journey off to an incredible start.

Slimming World members have access to more than 1,500 recipes online, including lots of family favourites, and so you’ll never be short of inspiration.

🚴 Discover new ways to get active

Exercise is often the first thing to fall off our to-do list when we’re busy. Now’s a great time to think about where activity might fit into your normal daily routine – whether that’s leaving the car at home for the school run, a lunchtime walk or an at-home workout while the house is empty. Our Body Magic activity programme will encourage you to get moving in a way that fits in with your lifestyle and in a way that you’ll enjoy – as we know that this is the key to making it a habit you’ll want to stick to!
