What you need:

1kg floury potatoes, such as Maris Piper or King Edward, peeled and cut into bite-size chunks
1½ tbsp Marmite yeast extract
low-calorie cooking spray

What you do:

1 Preheat your oven to 220°C/fan 200°C/gas 7.

2 Cook the potatoes in a pan of boiling water for 6-8 minutes or until they’re just starting to soften. Drain well and give them a shake in the colander to rough up the edges, then stir the Marmite through (add 1 tbsp hot water to the Marmite first, if you think it needs to be a little thinner).

3 Tip the spuds into a non-stick baking tray or roasting tin. Spray them with low-calorie cooking spray, sprinkle over a little salt and toss well. Roast at the top of your oven for 30-35 minutes, or until they’re crisp and golden, turning halfway.
