Slimming World is UK’s most trusted weight loss programme at consumer awards for second year*

Slimming World has been named the UK’s most trusted weight loss brand at a prestigious awards ceremony for the second year running.

More than 20,000 consumers voted for their most trusted brands in a range of sectors as part of the 2026 Newsweek and BrandSpark Most Trusted® Awards, with Slimming World named alongside a range of industry leaders, including Fairy, Lego and John Lewis.

Slimming World is the UK and Ireland’s leading weight loss organisation. It was founded by Margaret Miles-Bramwell OBE in Derbyshire in 1969 and today supports hundreds of thousands of people each week, via its community weight loss groups and online service, to lose weight and to adopt new habits to stay slim for life. 

Anika Devaney, Slimming World’s Head of Marketing and External Communications, who accepted the award on behalf of the company, says: “The weight-management industry has transformed in recent years – weight loss medication is increasingly visible and people can feel bombarded with conflicting advice about the ‘best’ way to lose weight. So, it’s more important than ever that people have brands they can trust.

“People who want to reach and maintain a healthy weight need a nutritious eating plan that helps them to make realistic and lasting changes, and support from real people who treat them with genuine care, empathy and respect. That’s exactly what they find when they come to Slimming World. This year we’ve been keen to communicate that everyone is welcome at Slimming World, including those taking weight loss medication. We’ve also listened closely to our members and made updates to our plan and the way we talk about weight loss to ensure it feels even more supportive, understanding and reflective of their needs.

The 2026 Newsweek and BrandSpark Most Trusted Awards are annual rankings from global news organisation Newsweek and consumer research firm BrandSpark International. This year's results were based on the votes of over 20,000 UK shoppers on over 100,000 brand evaluations. Slimming World was a joint winner in its category.
