I joined as a member in 2019 desperately unhappy with myself and my weight. I’d tried lots of other diets and this really was my last chance to find the slimmer happier me. In 6 weeks I lost 1½ stones and achieved target in just 12 months losing 6st 11lbs. Slimming World has completely changed my relationship with food. At times I still struggle but having the support of my own Consultant and fellow members of the group I still attend helps me to stay focused. The groups I run have many inspirational members. In 2018 our Woman of the year Emma Sutton took part in the regional final of the competition after losing over 8st and her story was published in the Express and star.
