I joined Slimming World in April 2016 as a last-ditch attempt at losing weight… again. I’ve tried a lot of diets over the years and had lost a lot of weight before getting married but struggling with postnatal depression meant I put 3 stones back on. The 7lbs loss in my first week and that half stone award amazed me as I’d eaten more than I had in a long time and had never been hungry. I’d even eaten pasta and potatoes and I’d been prepared to have to give those up again. The warm welcome and the support in group meant I always stayed no matter what the scales said – I really felt I had a whole team of people behind me cheering me on. I can’t wait to meet you all and see where your Slimming World journey is going to take you!
Slimming World groups update
As guidance eases, many Consultants have reopened their community groups, running smaller, shorter, Covid-safe sessions. For now, some Consultants are still running 'Virtual groups' or our temporary 'Venue + Virtual' service (where you get weighed at the venue, and then take part in an online support group).
Once you've found your local group, please contact the Consultant to find out more and to book your place. However your group’s running, you’ll discover tons of support to help you achieve the weight loss you’d love.
