You don’t have to wear a sports kit or start an expensive fitness programme to get the benefits of a more active lifestyle – brisk walking counts, too. Walking briskly for just 10 minutes can help to protect and improve your health.

To help you track your walking pace, Public Health England has created a free app, Active 10 (available for Apple and Android phones), that’ll show how much brisk walking you’re doing and how you can do more. It's easy to use and helps you set your goals for the day, as well as providing helpful tips.
