  • 2 large carrots, cut into matchsticks
  • 2 medium red onions, sliced
  • 1 vegetable stock cube (suitable for vegans)
  • 3 tbsp tomato purée
  • 2 level tbsp Chinese five-spice powder*
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 250g dried wholewheat noodles
  • 1 large broccoli, cut into florets
  • 250g mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium red pepper, deseeded and sliced
  • 225g can bamboo shoots, drained
